The Cape Town Expo for Young Scientists is an annual event in which learners from Grade 6 to 12 showcase their investigative projects.

This web site has been designed to tell you all about Expo and to encourage you to participate. Please use it as a tool to help you prepare a successful Expo project.

Regional Expo 2015

The Regional Expo took place from Monday 31 August to Wednesday 2 September in the UCT Sports Centre.

Workshop: 13 February: Fish Hoek High School

A workshop for learners and teachers is scheduled for Saturday 13 February at Fish Hoek High School. The workshop will take place between 09:00 and 12:45.

Regional Expo 2016

The Regional Expo for 2016 will once again take place in the UCT Sports Centre. The planned dates are from Monday 29 August 2016 to Wednesday 31 August 2016. The calendar can be downloaded here.

Entrants and their parents should take careful note of the Code of Conduct.

Cape Town learners chosen for International Science Fairs

Four Cape Town learners have been chosen to represent South Africa at international Science Fairs this year (2016).

They are:

Amber de Decker: Herschel: Intel ISEF
Angus Thring: Bishops: Intel ISEF
Yolanda Nkala and Kholiswa Ntshinga: COSAT: Beijing International Science Fair
