The Cape Town Expo for Young Scientists is an annual event in which learners from Grade 6 to 12 showcase their investigative projects.

This web site has been designed to tell you all about Expo and to encourage you to participate. Please use it as a tool to help you prepare a successful Expo project.

Regional Expo 2017

The Regional Expo 2017 will be held in the University of Cape Town Sports Centre from Wednesday 9 August to Friday 11 August 2017.

The calendar for 2017 is now available for download.

Entrants and their parents should take careful note of the Code of Conduct.


Congratulations to the learners who represented the Cape Town region at the Eskom International Science Fair in Boksburg in October 2016. A summary of their results can be downloaded by clicking on this link.

Congratulations to Joseph Sweidt from Herzlia who earned a Silver medal at the Taiwan International Science Fair in the Environmental and Earth Sciences category.

Please note that the Expo workshop on Saturday 18 February is fully booked. No further applications will be accepted.
